Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs produced a superb all-round performance as the Gunners edged past Anderlecht.
The Belgian side had been heading towards securing a shock three points until the left-back struck an impressive equaliser.
Gibbs showed composure to volley home from inside the box, using immaculate technique to keep the ball low and place it across the goalkeeper into the bottom corner.
His goal, and contribution to the victory was only the icing on the cake for a performance in which he was the best defender wearing an Arsenal shirt.
Gibbs won six tackles on the night, a team high, and his four interceptions also went unmatched.
Gibbs told SkySports after the game: "That was massive so it was a credit to the boys as we didn't give up. We made a statement. It was difficult but we got the result in the end."
The defender started for England last month against San Marino, and is in the midst of an excellent run of form. Overlooked for the World Cup squad, he is putting a real case together to suggest he should be a mainstay for the Three Lions for several seasons ahead.
