Will Keane says that Michael Carrick would be his first-choice pick if he was making a five-a-side team from United's current squad.
Keane believes that Carrick's ability at dictating the pace of the game would make him the stand-out choice if he was to create a team for the small-sided version of football.
Also in his team were Chris Smalling, David De Gea and Wayne Rooney in a very English based side.
When asked who would make it into his five-a-side team out of United's current squad he responded, to the club's official site: "My number one pick would have to be Michael Carrick. Whenever we're in training, the majority of the time his team seems to win because he dictates the play. He has to be up there.
"We'd need a defender and Chris Smalling is always tough to play against. He doesn't give you a yard of space. David [De Gea] would be in net but he's got good feet as well and is technically good. Probably 'Wazza' [Wayne Rooney] would complete the side because he's such an all-round player and is so committed."
It certainly does appear a strong team, but it is perhaps a surprise that he has overlooked the energy of Angel Di Maria, the finishing prowess of Robin Van Persie and the skill of Adnan Januzaj.
Keane is trying to break through into the United first-team at the moment, after a couple of loan spells in recent seasons.
The 21-year-old is highly regarded at Old Trafford, but getting ahead of some of their more high profile attacking stars will be tough.
Keane is currently behind Falcao, Van Persie, Rooney and even up-and-coming star James Wilson.
It means that a loan move could be a possibility in the near future, if Louis Van Gaal considers Keane as a player in need of getting regular first-team football to aid his development.
