Southampton's Ronald Koeman says that Chelsea's Eden Hazard is in the same league as Barcelona pair Luis Suarez and Neymar.
Barca's South American pair are considered two of the finest players in the world, but Koeman feels that Hazard is just as good.
The Chelsea man was in fine form during his side's 6-0 win over Maribor last night, dazzling all watchers with his skill in possession, and Koeman clearly holds the Belgian in high regard.
“Hazard is playing on a very high level,” the Saints boss said to Sky Sports. “You can compare how he is playing with Neymar and Luis Suarez because he made the difference."
Hazard has not been the only Chelsea player to catch Koeman's eye so far this season, though.
The Dutch boss thinks that Diego Costa has also made a brilliant start to life at Stamford Bridge and his return from injury will be a big boost for the side.
“Chelsea have a good defence and are physical in midfield but if Costa comes back in a good physical state, he will make the difference as [Didier] Drogba is respected but not what he was,” he said.
The pair are two of the London club's biggest attacking threats and they will be buoyed by the encouraging words from a player who was as talented as Koeman.
The Dutchman has made a brilliant start to life as manager on the South-Coast and it seems he will know the threat that Costa and Hazard could pose to his Southampton side when they play in December.
