Brighton fans react to Lewis Dunk's performance against Huddersfield Town on twitter

The defender got his fifth goal of the season to salvage a precious point for Sami Hyypia's side.

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk salvaged a point for his side last night as he equalised in the 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town at the John Smiths Stadium just before half-time.

The side could have been considered unfortunate not to leave West Yorkshire with all three points after a Jake Forster-Caskey effort was ruled out for offside, and had Kazenga LuaLua dismissed late on in the game for a second bookable offence.

The result leaves Brighton in a precarious position a point above the relegation zone with the pressure mounting on manager Sami Hyypia, with the side only managing two wins from their opening 13 games so far this season.

But one bright part seems to be the form of Dunk in front of goal, who scored his fifth goal of the campaign, and seems to be the man they turn to as they look to improve on their poor start to the season and improve in front of goal, with the side looking anxiously over their shoulders at the minute.

On twitter, Brighton fans seem to be relieved that the defender is amongst the goals, but an element of fear that he may leave in the January transfer window. They are evidently calling for some other members of the team to get in amongst the goals this season in order to improve on their poor start.

Here is what a few of them had to say:
