Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce will be pleased with the way his side battled back twice against Watford to secure a 2-2 draw.
The point was enabled by the performance of Antonio, who worked hard throughout the game and scored both of Forest’s goals to ensure they didn’t go another game without three points.
Forest are now sixth in the Championship table having led the league over the early part of the campaign.
Arch rivals Derby are sitting top of the pile but Pearce will be confident his side can claw back a four point gap quickly, which can happen with a run of results over two or three games.
Charlton, Bournemouth and Ipswich Town are just below Forest in the table and all hunting that last play-off position, which is where each side will be looking to consolidate over the course of the season.
The ultimate aim for Forest is promotion into the Premier League and it’s possible if they can stay in and around the play-off places over the course of the season and show positive levels of consistency.
Antonio will simply be hoping to prolong his goalscoring form for the club as he tries to make the most of the chances, which he creates and which are created for him by his Forest teammates.
The focus for Forest now switches to the home match against Blackburn Rovers this weekend, which presents a chance for Pearce’s side to get back on track with a win ahead of a very important November for the club.
Forest then travel to Huddersfield before hosting Brentford as the fixtures pile up thick and fast ahead of the chaotic winter schedule, which can be the defining point for most clubs looking to get promoted.
