A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is calm over the shortage of strikers at his disposal.

Loic Remy was substituted after scoring Chelsea’s first goal against Maribor last night after pulling up with a problem.

“I don't know the dimension and I'm not worried. When a player is injured, play another one. Tomorrow is a day off and the doctor is forbidden to call me to speak about injuries,” said the boss.

Maribor coach Ante Simundza has admitted that Chelsea are serious contenders to win the Champions League title.

The Blues defeated Maribor with a staggering 6-0 win in Europe last night ahead of a big game in the Premier League against Manchester United.

“It's obvious this Chelsea side are serious contenders to win this year's Champions League,” he said.

Former Chelsea defender Ashley Cole had a nightmare for Roma as the Serie A side lost 7-1 to Bayern Munich.

Cole was taken off at half-time after Bayern had strolled to a 5-0 lead during the game.
