Based on the last six games, Spurs would be 17th - and Swansea 18th

Since winning their opening two games of the Premier League season, both sides have produced relegation form.

After eight Premier League games, Swansea City and Tottenham Hotspur find themselves eighth and ninth in the top flight respectively.

For Garry Monk's men, that can be seen as a superb start, while, for Mauricio Pochettino's, ninth could have been a lot worse considering their form.

But the overall figures don't tell the overall picture.

Indeed, both sides are currently on 11 points - yet over half of those points were amassed in the first two games of the season. Both Spurs and the Swans held a 100% record after two games, meaning they have accumulated just five points each since - putting them 17th and 18th when it comes to their last six games.

That means either side have won just once and drawn twice in their last six, as shown by the Premier League table based on teams' recent form.

Tottenham have lost to Liverpool, Manchester City and West Brom, drawing with Arsenal and Sunderland, while beating Southampton.

Swansea, meanwhile, have beaten West Brom but not won in their last five, further demonstrating the contrast between their strong start on poor recent form.

Monk's side have lost to Chelsea, Southampton and Stoke (although they were arguably unlucky here) and drawn with Newcastle United and Sunderland.

Things need to change soon for both clubs.
