Antenucci on why he took the number 34 shot

Mirco Antenucci has revealed he wanted to be the number 34 at Leeds United because seven is his lucky number.

Although Antenucci wanted to wear his favoured number on his back, that was already taken, so he came up with another idea as to how he could make a compromise.

"My lucky number is 7, but it was already taken, so I chose a number whose sum of digits gave 7," he said to the Italian media.

Gray admits Hutchinson blow

Stuart Gray has provided a fitness update on Sam Hutchinson and it isn't positive news.

The defender's career has been plagued by injury and it seems he could be set for another lengthy period on the sidelines.

“Sam is in a lot of pain. It is upsetting for him and the club," he said to the Sheffield Telegraph.

“I am just hoping the scan result is good news. He is going to be out for a number of weeks, if not maybe longer.”

Blades don't want Fenwick

Sheffield United will not be offering Scott Fenwick a professional contract, after his trial was unsuccessful.

The Blades are on the hunt for a clinical striker, but Fenwick was clearly not deemed up to standard by Nigel Clough.

"We won’t be doing anything there. That’s not something we’ll be pursuing." Clough said to the Sheffield Star.

Powell happy with start

Chris Powell says that he is happy with the start that Huddersfield Town have made under his stewardship.

The Terriers have been resurgent under Powell and their up-turn in form has delighted the new boss.

"We are still a work in progress, as it has only been seven games since I came in," he said to the Yorkshire Post.

“But it is very pleasing that the players have taken on board what I like to see. They know the certain things I don’t like to see, too."
