Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny wants his side to put in a repeat performance of the one they did against Galatasaray tomorrow night.

Wojciech Szczesny says that if Arsenal repeat the standard of their performance against Galatasaray, then they will be able to beat Anderlecht.

Arsenal cruised past the Turkish opposition in their last group-stage fixture in the Champions League, and Szczesny believes that is the standard the team much reach again tomorrow evening.

The Gunners' 4-1 victory was their best performance of the season to date, but it was tarnished somewhat for the Pole as he was sent off late on.

“It was brilliant against Galatasaray - it was a very complete performance,” Szczesny said to the club's official site. “If you take out my sending off, it was perfect!

“We defended really well, we scored four very good goals and it was obviously a good day for Danny as well. So it was a very enjoyable game for us.

“We have two games against Anderlecht next and we are looking forward to them. Hopefully after that we will have put ourselves in a good position but we realise how important these games are and we are up for it. If we play at the level we did against Galatasaray, we should be able to get the result.”

That red card means that Szczesny will have to watch from the sidelines, allowing Emiliano Martinez to make his debut during the fixture against Anderlecht.

Although the Gunners shot-stopper is not expected to be too busy, with the North-London side the heavy favourites to pick up the victory, it will still be a nerve-wracking occasion for the youngster.

Arsenal are in need of another win in the competition to put them into a more commanding position in the group.

They lost to Borussia Dortmund in their opening game, but the win over Galatasaray has given them a good chance of making it through the group and another three points against Anderlecht should see them into an unassailable position.
