Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne has been singing the praises of his teammates Graziano Pelle and Dusan Tadic.
Both players have been key for Ronald Koeman’s side so far this season, as Southampton are currently third in the Premier League table with 16 points from eight matches, a point behind defending English champions and second-placed Manchester City.
‘You can see we’ve recruited well’, Clyne told Southampton’s official website. ‘The players we have brought in have suited the team. I think we look like a stronger team now. They’ve both [Graziano Pelle and Dusan Tadic] come in and done really well.
'If you look at Pelle’s stats before he came, he had scored a lot of goals. He’s now adapted to the Premier League and is scoring goals as well. With Tadic, he’s getting assists and doing really well for the team’.
Pelle and Tadic have been the stars of the Southampton side who are playing some wonderful football under new boss Koeman.
Italy international striker Pelle has scored six goals and created 12 chances for his teammates in eight Premier League appearances. The 29-year-old has a pass accuracy of 68% and a shot accuracy of 48%.
Meanwhile, Tadic has been one of the most creative players in the English top flight. The Serbia international has scored one goal and created 20 chances in eight league appearances, while having a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 67%.
