Southampton youngster James Ward-Prowse has taken to the water as he continues his long road to recovery following a foot injury he suffered four weeks ago.
The 19-year-old posted a picture of the Southampton rehabilitation swimming pool on Twitter followed by the message: "First day back in the pool at @SouthamptonFC . Looking forward to the next stage of my recovery"
After a very bright start to the season, the England Under-21 international suffered a foot fracture in Southampton's 1-0 win over Swansea City on 20th September.
He still faces another agonising six weeks before retuning to action for the Saints, and after playing in every game for the club prior to his injury it was thought that his absence would be a big blow for Ronald Koeman's side.
However, the club have continued that magnificent start to the new campaign, sitting third place in the Premier League and winning three of the four games they have played without the promising young player.
