WBA player ratings: Berahino stands-out again; defender struggles

West Brom

We rate the performances of the West Bromwich Albion players in their 2-2 draw with Manchester United last night.

Boaz Myhill - 6

Did a decent job, as he stepped into replace the ever-so-reliable Ben Foster in goal. Couldn't be blamed for either Manchester United goal.

Andre Wisdom - 7

Provided pace and power for the Baggies all night. Wisdom was solid defensively, but also provided a good outlet going forward and his pass for the first-goal of the night was brilliant.

Joleon Lescott - 5

Looked the most uncomfortable member of West Brom's defence. Has been brilliant since coming into the Baggies' team, but this wasn't his best display.

Craig Dawson - 7

Alan Irvine will delighted he managed to keep hold of Craig Dawson this summer. The young, English centre-back is developing into a fine defender and he was at his best last night.

Sebastien Pocognoli - 6

A decent outing from the Belgian, who is becoming a fans' favourite at the Hawthorns.

James Morrison - 6

Some tidy play in the heart of the Baggies midfield, with his passing-range helping the team get out of some uncomfortable situations with ease.

Craig Gardner - 5

The game rather passed the midfielder by and his usual all-action approach was curbed somewhat because of the need to be disciplined due to United's attacking quality.

Graham Dorrans - 6

Did a credible job for his side, but won't have made any headlines. A solid, if not spectacular performance.

Stephane Sessegnon - 7

A potent outlet for the Baggies, his first-goal was brilliantly taken. Although he quietened down a little after that brilliant strike, he still posed a threat with his skill in possession.

Chris Brunt - 6

Another tidy performer on the night. Brunt is a reliable midfielder and he did a good job for the team again.

Saido Berahino - 8

The best player on the pitch for either side, Berahino's value continues to rise. He looks to be one of the best striking talents in the Premier League and his display yesterday showed his full repertoire of skills. His goal was brilliantly taken, but he also linked-up superbly with his teammates all night.
