Arsenal could call on Ryan Huddart against Anderlecht if they get desperate.

Ryan Huddart is preparing for a memorable evening on Wednesday, with a potential Arsenal debut on the horizon.

The 17-year-old goalkeeper is to be named on the bench as back-up for Emiliano Martinez, who is set to make his first Champions League appearance for the club.

Arsenal's goalkeeping options are being stretched with Wojciech Szczesny suspended for the trip to Anderlecht and David Ospina injured.

Huddart only signed professional terms with Arsenal in March, and has previously been involved only with the under-19 squad.

A former Charlton Athletic trainee, mixing with the first team squad will be an experience to remember, even if he is just a spectator from the bench in Belgium.

If he is called upon, it would be a rapid rise to fame for the teenager, and an opportunity he will be keen not to let pass him by.
