Manchester United latest: Herrera injury setback; Young focusing on positives

Ashley Young has spoken following Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Monday evening.

Louis van Gaal’s side twice came from behind to take a point from The Hawthorns and second-half substitute Young wanted to look at the good elements of the match rather than focus on the disappointment of dropping another two points.

“You have to look at the positives,” he said in quotes published by the Daily Star. “Obviously they went ahead when we were on top but we came out in the second half and got ourselves back into the game.

“We take the positives of the possession we had and the attempts at goal.”

United had 63 per cent possession against West Brom along with 22 efforts on goal (although only seven of those were on target).

In other news, Ander Herrera could miss United’s next Premier League match against Chelsea.

The Independent reports that the Spaniard aggravated a rib injury against West Bromwich Albion and left the pitch at half-time after feeling pain in the same area.

The report claims Herrera has now been assessed and faces a race to be fit for the match against the current league leaders.
