Leeds United youngster Chris Dawson is confident the club's under-21 side will bounce back after defeat to Colchester.
Disappointing tonight, just didn't happen for us. Sure we will bounce back to winning ways next week— Chris Dawson (@Chris_dawson7) October 20, 2014
Leeds United youngster Chris Dawson is confident the under-21 side will return to winning ways after a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Colchester.
Dawson was one of the key players in a Leeds line-up, which featured summer signings Dario Del Fabro and Brian Montenegro but the impressive look of the under-21 side wasn’t enough to stop the Whites from falling to defeat.
Under-21 boss and academy chief Neil Redfearn has been extremely complimentary of Dawson in recent times, suggesting he was the standout player in a recent 6-0 win against Doncaster in the Premier League Cup.
There have also been calls from the club’s support base to allow Dawson to head out on loan and join a football league side that can offer him competitive first team games, as he looks to enhance his experience and develop as a player.
Unfortunately that opportunity doesn’t look as though it’s going to arrive any time soon under Darko Milanic and all Dawson can do is continue to work hard and impress in the youth ranks.
