Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart conceded twice in the Champions League earlier this evening, Tuesday, as the Citizens came unstuck at CSKA Moscow.
"It was a difficult game - we played well in the first half but in the second half were too open, but it was a fair result," reflected the Englishman.
City had a two goal lead after just 39 minutes of competition in Russia, as Sergio Aguero and James Milner both struck before the break, yet City allowed CSKA to creep back into the match with goals from Seydou Doumbia and Bedras Natcho.
"It was really cold in the first half, when having the wind in your face made a big change, but the second half was fine.
"They are not excuses, it was the same for both teams - unfortunately we didn't play well enough," he said.
Manchester City still only have just two points from three games and trail AS Roma by two points while Bayern Munich are running away as leaders, with nine points banked from a possible nine.
"It's going to be difficult but we are capable of qualifying from this group,” Hart added.
"We have a home game against Moscow now and have to focus on that first and let the other two do what they need to do."
