Hull City defender Michael Dawson is confident with the Tigers’ squad depth despite his side facing up to more potential injury blows.

Dawson hurt his ankle in the match against Arsenal while back-up goalkeeper Steve Harper injured a bicep. But the former Tottenham Hotspur player believes his side has the quality to cope.

In quotes published by the Hull Daily Mail, Dawson said, “You need a good squad because injuries come along and the manager has built that now.

“We pick ourselves up and see how we are but there is strength in depth to cope.”

The same newspaper runs a report on the progress of Hull youngster Calaum Jahraldo-Martin, who has been doing well for the Tigers’ development squad.

The forward impressed in the 1-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday’s under-21s and big things are expected of the player who has featured twice for the Tigers’ first-team so far.
