Manchester United new-boy Angel di Maria has earned a lot of plaudits since his move from Real Madrid to Old Trafford, but it will be hard to find a stronger review of his abilities than PSG coach Vincent Guerin.
During an exclusive interview with PSG Community, the former France international was asked whether Di Maria was the player PSG needed to strengthen.
''Yes, totally; this is a player that would have been the right player as they say. He's a player with the ideal profile, because he is left-footed.
''He is a phenomenal player, who is among the five best in the world in his position. He would have been great in the Paris attack.''
The Argentinian international, although usually considered an attacking wide player, has been flourishing in his adopted central position at Manchester United and has three goals and three assists to show from five Premier League appearances.
He also won Manchester United's Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards for September.
Paris Saint-Germain currently sit seven points behind Marseille in the league standings and have drawn six out of their first ten games, however, remain unbeaten winning the other four.
Di Maria's impact at United certainly does look like what Paris Saint-Germain are crying out for but, after missing out in the summer, will have to find someone else to help their titles chances.
