Alan Shearer says Arsenal have blown their chance to win the Premier League title already.
With 11 points from a possible 24, the Gunners are already 11 points behind leaders Chelsea.
Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer believes Arsene Wenger's side's title chances have already vanished, and they face a 'slog' to reach the top four once again.
He told The Sun: "Title hopes have already gone after their fifth draw in eight games... There's still no commanding centre-half while defensive midfielder Mathieu Flamini was simply shrugged off the ball far too easily by Mohamed Diame for Hull's first.
"I also think the goalkeeping position could do with strengthening."
The strength in depth in Arsenal's goalkeeping department will come under real scrutiny in midweek when third choice Emiliano Martinez stands in for the suspended Wojciech Szczesny.
Summer signing David Ospina is injured, and he may just be the upgrade Shearer would like to see over Szczesny, it's just unfortunate timing for him.
As for the midfield and defensive concerns, they are heard all too frequently, and Arsene Wenger conceded at the club's AGM that they made a mistake not buying a replacement for Thomas Vermaelen.
The bookies agree with Shearer. Arsenal have already slipped to a staggering 33/1 outside chance to win the title, with Chelsea clear favourites at 1/2 on.
