Match to be played on Monday 20th October 2014 at 20:00. Venue: The Hawthorns, West Bromwich.
West Bromwich Albion host Manchester United on Monday evening, in what will be both sides’ first game since the international break.
A trip to The Hawthorns is a tough proposition for any club in the Premier League and Alan Irvine’s side are sure to be quietly confident of causing an upset. They gave Liverpool a game last time out and have recently seen an upturn in form and fortune after a worrying start.
United have a host of star-names to call on but young West Brom player Saido Berahino has the talent to outshine them all on the night.
West Brom injury concerns: Victor Anichebe has a groin injury and has a 50 per cent chance of playing. Chris Brunt has the same problem but is slightly more likely to return.
West Brom absences: Silvestre Varela has a groin injury and this game may come slightly too soon for him following recent minor surgery. Claudio Yacob is unavailable due to personal reasons.
United injury concerns: United have no fresh injury concerns as their problems seem to be easing considerably.
United absences: Jonny Evans’ ankle injury and Paddy McNair’s hamstring problem mean neither defender will feature. Antonio Valencia is also out with a hamstring injury while Wayne Rooney sits out the second match in his three-game suspension.
Predicted starting line-ups:
West Brom – Foster, Gamboa, Dawson, Lescott, Pocognoli, Gardner, Morrison, Dorrans, Mulumbu, Sessegnon, Berahino
United – De Gea, Rafael, Jones, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Herrera, Di Maria, Mata, Falcao, van Persie
