Predicted Manchester City XI to play CSKA Moscow - Several changes for Pellegrini

CSKA Moscow Stadium Fans

Here is the potential Manchester City side to take on CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.

Manchester City head into the Champions League clash against CSKA Moscow off the back of an impressive win against Tottenham Hotspur.

That 4-1 victory at the Etihad over the weekend will give Manuel Pellegrini’s side some confidence, especially as Spurs were unlucky not to have scored more than one goal during the 90 minutes.

It’s been a case of two frustrating European games for City so far in the Champions League this season.

The first match saw City battle away at Bayern Munich before a late goal condemned them to a 1-0 defeat. That was followed by a tense draw at home against Roma in front of a crowd, which wasn’t sold out.

City’s match takes place before the normal 19:45 GMT kick-offs, which means if they can register a win and put three points on the board, they shift the pressure onto Bayern and Roma who are competing for first and second places at the moment in the group.

A win is paramount and Manuel Pellegrini should be able to select a strong side for the match. We’ve attempted to name his possible starting team.

Manchester City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy, Navas, Toure, Fernando, Milner, Silva, Aguero.
