Daley Blind is not known for his goalscoring abilities, but on Monday he opened his account for Manchester United in style.
The Netherlands international scored the fourth goal of the Premier League clash between the Red Devils and West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.
The 24-year-old, who joined United from Ajax on transfer deadline day for a fee of £14 million, found the target from the edge of the Baggies’ penalty box in the 87th minute with a wonderful curling effort.
It became 2-2 at the time, and although United gave their all for the remainder of the game, they failed to find a winner.
It was Blind’s first competitive goal for the European giants and ensured that the players went back to Manchester with a point.
It will be considered a disappointing result for United, who were surely looking to pick up all three points against West Brom.
