Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is relishing the prospect of playing against Chelsea at Old Trafford in the Premier League next weekend.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has admitted that Chelsea are a ‘great team’.

The Spain international will face the Blues at Old Trafford in the Premier League next Sunday.

Looking ahead to the encounter, the 23-year-old told Inside United: ‘Of course, everyone always wants to play in these games, they are top games. Games against any team in England are difficult and you have to be focused on every one of them.

‘Chelsea have started the Premier League in unbelievable form. They have a great team and some great new players and they will be difficult to play against, but these kinds of matches are special’.

Chelsea have indeed been in ‘unbelievable form’ and have been the best team in the Premier League so far this season.

Jose Mourinho’s side have yet to lose a game in the league and are currently five points clear at the top of the standings with 22 points from eight matches.

Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, both signed in the summer transfer window, have been superb for Chelsea so far, while the likes of John Terry, Thibaut Courtois and Nemanja Matic have been impressive as well.

United themselves have been in good form recently. Having struggled in the opening weeks of the 2014-15 campaign, Louis van Gaal’s side are now just outside the top four with a game in hand.

The Manchester outfit’s primary objective this season is to regain their place in the top four of the Premier League - but if they beat West Bromwich Albion on Monday and Chelsea next weekend, then they could well become contenders for the title.
