Jack Butland reacts to Derby County move on Twitter

The Stoke goalkeeper is 'really pleased' to have joined Derby on loan.

Jack Butland has reacted positively to his loan move to Derby County.

The Stoke City goalkeeper has been afforded minimal first-team opportunities at the Britannia Stadium and thus completed a short-term move to the Rams earlier today.

And Butland says he is 'very excited' after such a quick move.

“It has been a very quick turnaround and I am very excited for tomorrow and for the coming games with Derby. I am very excited to be here," he told Derby's official website.

“I have known Eric for a while and he is very good friends with the goalkeeping coaches at Stoke. Conversations were had and it is great to come here and work with him.

“Derby have been extremely good so far this season and we will be looking to build on that good form.

“It’s a great club to be at, it has great fan support, and they have a great stadium, training facilities and a great squad. I’m excited to be part of it, now hopefully we can get a win tomorrow and keep the smiles.”

And the 21-year-old later took to Twitter to also praise the 'big club.'
