Southampton winger Dusan Tadic has been speaking about his teammate Graziano Pelle.
The two men linked up to devastating effect against Sunderland on Saturday, as the Saints ran out 8-0 winners with Pelle netting twice and Tadic scoring one and setting up four.
And speaking after the match, the Serbia international revealed what it was like to play with the Italian forward.
“I think we understand each other,” Tadic said in quotes later published by Southampton’s official Twitter account.
“He is a really good player and it is a pleasure to play with him.”
Pelle has scored seven goals already this season, and along with Tadic and Ronald Koeman’s other summer signings, the 29-year-old is ensuring Southampton are enjoying a campaign their fans would not dared to have dreamed of in the summer.
Back then the talk was of a mass exodus and relegation concerns, but now the sky is the limit for Koeman’s impressive side.
