There are widespread reports that Real Madrid will be without Gareth Bale for their Champions League trip to Liverpool on Wednesday evening.
The Welsh international had to sit out Real's game against Levante at the weekend with a muscular problem and it seems that he won't recover in time.
La Liga expert Guillem Balague is certain that Bale will be absent for Real's next two games against Liverpool and Barcelona.
Bale could hardly have sustained the injury at a worse time with two vitally important matches coming up, but Real do have the strength in depth to cope.
Liverpool will be glad they don't have to face the former Tottenham Hotspur man but will still need to find an answer to James Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo.
