Dusan Tadic is clearly loving life in Southampton.
The Serbian completed a summer move from FC Twente and he has wasted to time making an impression at St. Mary's.
The attacking midfielder has slotted into the side with consummate ease and looks one of the finest players in the Premier League.
This weekend he claimed four assists during an 8-0 demolition of Sunderland and Tadic admits that he feels like he is dreaming, because everything is going so smoothly at the moment.
“It feels like I’m dreaming. Southampton is the most beautiful city in England and everything is great," he said to Sky Sports.
“We have fabulous fans who are with the club 24 hours a day. It is something special to be playing for Southampton."
“Can we keep up our form for a long time? I hope so."
“Secretly each one of us hopes that we can finish in a position that leads to the Champions League, but we are all aware that it is going to be extremely hard. There is still a long road to the end of the season.”
Southampton were predicted to struggle by many this campaign, but a top four finish certainly looks a possibility.
Ronald Koeman has advanced their squad since taking over in the summer and they have become a team for every English club to try and emulate.
Playing crisp, incisive and attacking football, Southampton are rapidly turning into one of the strongest teams in the Premier League and they will take some stopping this season.
Although it will be a tough ask for them to maintain this blistering form, it is certainly not an impossibility and if Tadic can continue his form then his dream of making it into the Champions League may turn into reality in May.
