Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is determined to help his side pick up a win against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Monday.

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has admitted that winning against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns will not be easy.

The Red Devils will take on the Baggies on Monday looking to make it three wins out of three in the Premier League.

Louis van Gaal’s side won back-to-back league games against West Ham United and Everton before the two-week international break and are expected to pick up all three points against West Brom.

However, Mata, who joined United from Chelsea in January for a transfer fee of £37.1 million, believes that it will not be easy against the Baggies.

‘The team showed great passion and character’, the Spain international told MUTV. ‘It wasn’t easy to win both games, first with 10 players [against West Ham] and second with Everton attacking and attacking, but we did it and got six points from the last two games which is good.

‘Hopefully we will get three more points in the next game but it will be tough at West Brom. It’s always a difficult stadium to go to with a tough atmosphere but we always try to win’.

Next weekend Mata will face his former club Chelsea, with whom he won the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Europa League.

The former Valencia star, though, is not looking that far ahead and said: ‘We only have to think about this game. The manager is only speaking about West Brom and that’s the same for us’.

United are likely to win against West Brom on Monday, but they will face the toughest test of the season so far when Chelsea visit them at Old Trafford.
