Liverpool's manager has been speaking about Emre Can.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers spoke ahead of the Reds' game against Queens Park Rangers this afternoon, hailing the talent of summer signing Emre Can.
The German midfielder made his first start for the club since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen and in comments published by Liverpool's official Twitter account, their manager said of the youngster, "He's a wonderful player. He's only 20 years of age but he can play football."
He certainly can, as anyone who keeps a close eye on the Bundesliga will know.
Can impressed for Bayern Munich as a teenager and continued his development when he moved from the Allianz Arena to Leverkusen. His £9.75million move to Anfield was hailed as a savvy piece of business by the Reds and so it is proving.
Can came off the bench to feature against both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City before an injury forced a spell on the side-lines, but he is now back and ready to show Liverpool fans what they have been missing.
