Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen gave a good account of himself against Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Christian Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen is one of the most promising young attacking midfielders in Europe, and he was once again on song against Manchester City on Saturday.

The Denmark international was arguably the best Spurs player on the pitch against the Citizens in the Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium, and the stats prove so.

During the 90 minutes, the 22-year-old had a total of six shots, of which two were on target. He also created two chances for his teammates, while playing a total of 47 passes.

Interestingly, 42 of his 47 passes were accurate, which means that against City Eriksen had a pass accuracy of 89.3%. That’s very impressive.

Stats do not always tell the whole story of course, but Eriksen’s display for Spurs against defending Premier League champions City was very encouraging and laudable.

The former Ajax star was the only Tottenham attacker who actually tried to make things happen and did not give up.
