Former Manchester United flop Manucho netted his first goal for new club Rayo Vallecano as the Madrid-based outfit defeated Granada 1-0 in La Liga.
Sir Alex Ferguson has been lauded over the years due to some of his transfer coups while in charge of the Red Devils, but Manucho certainly wasn’t one of them.
The now-31-year-old arrived at Old Trafford during the 2008 January transfer window after scoring the goals for Petro Atletico in his native Angola.
Initially arriving on trial, he must have done something right as the former United boss signed him down to a three-year deal before immediately loaning him to Greek outfit Panathinaikos.
After returning from Greece, Manucho made his one and only United appearance in the League Cup before moving on after a number of failed loan moves.
Fast-forward five years since he officially left the Premier League, the Angola international striker now finds his feet under the table at La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano.
Keen to make an impression on his one-year deal, Manucho notched his first goal for the club – and his first since last April – by firing home a last minute winner in the 1-0 victory over Granada.
