Emmanuel Adebayor may have been named only on the substitutes’ bench for Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester City today, but he still seems full of life.
The Togolese striker has been left out of Spurs’ starting line-up by manager Mauricio Pochettino for this afternoon’s Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium.
The former Arsenal striker has struggled for form so far this season, having managed just one goal in seven league appearances with a pass accuracy of 79%.
However, Adebayor does not appear downbeat with his manager’s decision as he caught on camera exchanging pleasantries with City midfielder Yaya Toure before the game.
Adebayor was on the books of City from 2009 until 2012, but he could make only 34 Premier League appearances.
Signed from Arsenal, the former AS Monaco star was expected to be a key player for the Citizens, but he ended up being shipped out on loan to Real Madrid and Tottenham. Adebayor joined the North London club on a permanent contract in the summer of 2012.
