Chelsea will ease to victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League today.
That’s the opinion of former Manchester United and Liverpool striker Michael Owen, who believes that Jose Mourinho’s side have too much quality to drop a point in London.
‘I fully expect the Blues to have too much quality for Palace despite the fact that they won the corresponding fixture last season when a John Terry own goal separated the sides’, the 34-year-old wrote on Betvictor.com.
‘Jose Mourinho might have to rotate his pack with Maribor to come in the Champions League midweek and a trip to Old Trafford next weekend, but his squad is full of class and I expect Chelsea to march on at Selhurst Park’.
Chelsea do indeed have a large squad, and one that is replete with quality. The Blues will be huge favourites to win today, especially given the form that they are in at the moment.
The London outfit are currently at the top of the Premier League table with 19 points from seven matches, five points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
Chelsea have won six of their seven league fixtures, drawing just one, while scoring 21 goals and conceding seven.
Meanwhile, Palace are 15th in the league table with eight points from seven games and are just four points above the relegation zone.
