Luis Suarez may have left Liverpool under a cloud in the summer transfer window, but club legend Jamie Carragher remembers him fondly.
Suarez joined the Reds from Ajax in January 2011 and played for them until the end of the 2013-14 season, during which time he established himself as one of the best strikers in the world.
Carragher retired in 2013 and did not get to enjoy playing alongside Suarez in the Uruguay international’s best campaign for the Merseyside outfit in 2013-14.
However, the former Liverpool defender has still named Suarez as the best foreign player he has ever played with.
Carragher has played with some of the best foreign players during his career at Liverpool which spanned for almost 20 years.
The likes of Xabi Alonso, Javier Mascherano and Sami Hyypia are to name just a few of the brilliant foreign players Liverpool have had during Carragher’s career, but it seems that Suarez is best among them all for the 36-year-old.
