Arsenal 2-2 Hull: Welbeck saves the day with injury-time equaliser

Arsenal and Hull City drew 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck saved the Gunners' blushes by scoring an injury-time equaliser against Hull City on Saturday.

The hosts had taken the lead through Alexis Sanchez but later slipped behind after goals from Mohamed Diame and Abel Hernandez put the Tigers ahead.

That was how the game stayed until the final few moments, when summer signing Welbeck continued his recent fine form to latch on to a fine Sanchez pass and put the ball past Steve Harper.

Arsenal had a makeshift defence with full-back Nacho Monreal operating as a centre-back and young Spaniard Hector Bellerin on the right flank.  But ultimately the Gunners came away with a share of the spoils, leaving Hull to head home ruing a missed opportunity.
