I dream of winning Ballon d’Or, says 17-year-old Liverpool player

Liverpool Ball

Harry Wilson has been speaking to Liverpool's website, revealing a little more about himself and his aspirations.

Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson has revealed his ultimate dream in football is to win the Ballon d’Or.

The 17-year-old left-winger was the latest Academy player to get involved in a question-and-answer session for the Reds’ official website during which he was asked – among other things – which Liverpool player he most admired and the best game he had ever seen.

It was no surprise that Wilson named the Champions League final between his side and AC Milan as his favourite match, while he revealed that Philippe Coutinho is the teammate he most admires.

Wilson is a current Liverpool under-21 player who has scored one goal in four appearances this season. He has also provided two assists in two UEFA Youth League games, and big things are expected of the teenager at Anfield.

The player signed a professional contract in July, having already been capped by his country, replacing Gareth Bale as the youngest player ever to turn out for Wales.

And it seems he has very high hopes for the future, with football’s biggest individual prize in his sights.
