Arsenal’s Mathieu Flamini hits out at Hull City’s Mohamed Diame

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini believes that Mohamed Diame’s first goal for Hull City in the Premier League clash on Saturday should have been ruled out.

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has insisted that Mohamed Diame committed a foul on him before scoring for Hull City.

The 27-year-old midfielder made it 1-1 in the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday in the 17th minute when he found the target from close range.

However, the goal was a controversial one as Diame seemingly appeared to push Flamini out of his way before tucking the ball in.

French midfielder Flamini has now hit out at the Hull star and is quoted as saying by Arsenal’s official website: ‘I’m very frustrated. First of all with the referee’s decision for the first goal. It was clear to everyone it was a foul.

‘I was in front of the player and he pulled me back so it was a very poor decision by the referee. I respect the referee and his decision but he was the only one not to see the foul’.

The match eventually ended in a 2-2 draw, with Arsenal now 11 points behind leaders Chelsea in sixth place in the Premier League table.
