18-year-old Liverpool player scores hat-trick - Bright future beckons

Anfield Pitch

Another Liverpool youngster made headlines on Saturday with a three-goal haul.

Liverpool player Will Marsh scored a hat-trick for the Reds’ under-18 side in a 5-0 win against their Blackburn Rovers counterparts on Saturday.

Marsh’s three goals and a brace from Sergi Canos secured the victory with Liverpool dominant throughout.

The 18-year-old’s individual performance was even more impressive given that he has been turned into a midfielder since his move from Wrexham, although his form should come as no surprise given that when he arrived at Anfield he was an out-and-out front-man.

Marsh is another in an impressive line of young talent coming through at Liverpool right now, and his latest performance suggests the Reds could have another possible goal-scoring hero in the years to come.

Wherever he ultimately plays, his versatility should stand him in good stead as he attempts to get the attention of Brendan Rodgers, who has already shown he is not afraid to give youngsters a chance after handing Jordan Rossiter his debut earlier this season.
