Steven Davis is to remain a Saint for another four years.

This summer Southampton were decimated in the transfer market, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all picking at their carcass like vultures.
After an impressive term in the Premier League under Mauricio Pochettino he left for Spurs. Liverpool snapped up Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Dejan Lovren while United signed Luke Shaw.
But the rumours of Southampton's upcoming demise were greatly exaggerated. In fact, the club have improved under new boss Ronald Koeman. The introduction of new signings such as Graziano Pelle and Dusan Tadic has helped - but so has the consistency of players that were already at the club.
The likes of Jose Fonte, Nathaniel Clyne and Steven David have not let things slip since last term and one of them has now been rewarded with a new deal.
Northern Irishman Davis has been snapped by the club photographers signing on the dotted line of a contract extension to the one that was due to expire next summer.
Not a player who often catches the headlines Davis' consistently high level of performance has nonetheless made him a key part of the Southampton first-team and above all, something of a fan favourite.
So everyone will be happy that he is set to stay at the club until 2018.
