The new anti-hero supervillain movie from DC and Warner Bros is said to be in talks with Will Smith and Tom Hardy for roles.

In the announcement this week that shone light on exactly which movies the DC movie universe will be expanded with, one of those movies slated for 2016 is Suicide Squad.

Deadline reports that Warner Bros are close to signing on actors Will Smith and Tom Hardy for roles in the movie, which is being directed by David Ayer (Fury).

Margot Robbie who starred in The Wolf of Wall Street is also said to be a likely candidate for Suicide Squad. We reported earlier today that Robbie was initially in talks for the live-action Ghost in the Shell adaptation, but that's since been offered to Scarlett Johansson.

Suicide Squad is the story of a group of supervillains that's put together by the U.S. government to take on high-risk black ops. The movie is due for a 5th August 2016 release.
