Manchester United latest: 'No possibility' Vidal will join in January, Mourinho on Mata

The latest Manchester United transfer news, views and rumours.

Arturo Vidal

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has seemingly completely ruled out a January move for Arturo Vidal.

Vidal has long been linked with Manchester United and has reportedly become frustrated in Italy recently.

But the Juventus coach says there is 'no possibility' that Vidal will join United in January.

"The club has been very clear on Vidal," Allegri told BBC World Focus.

"This season Vidal is a Juventus player and I think there's no possibility that in January he'll go to Manchester."

Juan Mata

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has commented on the Blues' sale of Juan Mata to United.

The Spaniard left Chelsea in January for a fee of £37.1 million.

“For example, [Juan] Mata to Man United. We are losing a very good player to a direct opponent. Would this have happened 10 years ago? Maybe not," Mourinho told the Daily Telegraph during an interview with former United defender Gary Neville.

"But, in the modern football and the new economic reality [for Chelsea], if Man Utd pays you an important amount of money he has to go. It is my club’s vision. It’s my boss, Mr Abramovich, the board. And I share it. I’m not the sort of manager that says – no, not to Man Utd. Sell Mata to Juventus or Barcelona but not Man Utd."
