Arsenal striking legend Ian Wright has hailed a current English forward for his impressive early season form.
Harry Kane has made a transition into the Tottenham first team this season, and Wright argues he has been the club's best player this season to date.
Speaking to The Sun, he commented: "Belgian winger Nacer Chadli has started to come good, but the one who has really impressed me is striker Harry Kane.
"He's scoring for his club and the under-21 and if he carries on like that England could well reward him."
Kane, 21, is yet to score in the Premier League this season, but he does have three goals in four Europa League games to his name.
He also has a Premier League assist, and netted in the Capital One Cup against Nottingham Forest.
A strike rate of six goals in eight games for England's under-21s across his career illustrates how he was able to lead the line in qualification for next year's championships.
He could get a big chance this weekend too. With Emmanuel Adebayor returning late from Africa, for the early Saturday kick-off against Manchester City, picking Kane appears a far more tempting option than Roberto Soldado.
