Five facts about Chelsea and Liverpool target Wass

Chelsea and Liverpool are said to be fighting Fiorentina for Danish international Daniel Wass, but what do fans need to know about him?

Talented right-sided player Daniel Wass has admitted he would be interested in moving to the Premier League and is said to be wanted by Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Italian media believe that Serie A side Fiorentina are also keeping an eye on the 25-year-old and a summer switch from French minnows Evian looks likely.

"My head is still in Evian but if you offer me a departure in January, I will not say no. I want to progress and prove my abilities at a higher level," Wass is quoted as saying by the Daily Express.

What more do you need to know before the bidding war begins?

1. Wass has scored four goals and provided one assist so far this season in Ligue 1 in addition to his defensive responsibilities.

2. He represented Denmark at every level from Under-16 to Under-21 before graduating to the senior side in 2011.

3. Wass is under contract at Evian until June 2016 after signing from Benfica following a loan spell.

4. His estimated value is only around £3 million, so he could be a decent bargain.

5. Wass is pretty versatile - he can play either at right-back or right wing and has even been used as a left-back when needed.
