Belgian paper makes light of head injury to Courtois

Thibaut Coutois

HLN has made light of the incident that left Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois bleeding from the ear against Arsenal.

Belgian newspaper HLN has made light of the recent head injury suffered by Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgian took a heavy blow in the London derby after a challenge from Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, which left the Belgian star being subbed off after he started to bleed from the ear.

One of the first people on the scene was Chelsea physio Eva Carneiro and HLN have poked fun at the Chelsea Doctor seeing to Courtois, suggesting an image of her doing her job resembled the pair as a couple.

Fortunately for Jose Mourinho and Chelsea, Courtois appears to have dodged serious injury and he is in line to return to the team for the Premier League trip to Crystal Palace this weekend.

However, should Carneiro or any other medical professional at Chelsea have any concerns, then Petr Cech isn’t a bad deputy to have coming into the team at short notice.
