The Ivory Coast midfielder could face Tottenham Hotspur despite playing for his country earlier this week.
The 31-year-old midfielder scored in his nation's 4-3 defeat to DR Congo earlier this week but is keen to feature on Saturday lunchtime, evidenced by his desire to fly to England only hours after playing for the Ivory Coast.
And the Mirror claim he reported back at 11am on Thursday morning - 24 hours before he was due on Friday. Training followed for Toure, where he was given the all-clear by the club’s medical team.
There had previously been speculation that his international involvement could restrict his participation for Manchester City this weekend.
It was believed that Toure would arrive back from international duty later than his City team-mates, which would have given him just 24 hours to prepare for the Tottenham game.
The 31-year-old's determination, however, has provided a timely boost for Manchester City - and unwanted news for Spurs.
