Fernando has praised every aspect of Tottenham Hotspur's team and believes that they will provide a tough test for Manchester City at the weekend.
The Brazilian international believes that Spurs are strong in defence, midfield and attack.
As a result, he says that City will need to be on top of their game if they are to avoid a defeat against the North-London side on Saturday and he wants them to repeat a similar standard of showing to what they reached against Aston Villa, in a 2-0 win, before the international break.
"Spurs are good going forward and solid in midfield and at the back so they will come here and look to make things difficult for us and we need to get into our stride early on and carry on where we left off against Aston Villa," he said to City's official site.
“We have enough quality to win every game we play but we are expecting Tottenham to make it difficult on Saturday."
Spurs travel to the Etihad Stadium as the underdogs, but they know they will have a chance if they can reach their optimum performance levels.
City have looked more vulnerable in this season than they have in a long time and Stoke City have already beaten them in-front of their home fans.
It means that Manuel Pellegrini's are already playing catch-up with Chelsea, who have established a five point lead at this early stage.
However, Fernando has not given up on retaining the league title and he says that he would dedicate it to the fans if they do.
"I feel a lot of love from the City fans and I thank them for helping me settle so quickly," he said. "I get a lot of messages on Twitter and they have been telling me to hurry up and get fit so I want to repay their good wishes and faith with some big performances on the pitch."
“I want to win the Premier League for them – that would be a good way of showing my appreciation!”
