Predicted Manchester City and Tottenham line-ups: Lampard and Lamela to start

Match to be played on Saturday 18th October 2014 at 12:45. Venue: Etihad Stadium, Manchester.

Manchester City host Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in the match that marks the return of the Premier League following yet another international break.

It is an intriguing encounter, with both sides having somewhat erratic starts to their domestic campaigns. Tottenham got back to winning ways against Southampton earlier this month, while City kept within touching distance of league leaders Chelsea by defeating Aston Villa 2-0 away.

City are currently second in the league while Tottenham are sixth, with just three points separating the two sides going into the early kick-off.

City injury concerns: Fernandinho has a hamstring injury and currently has around a 75 per cent chance of playing on Saturday. Yaya Toure may also be unavailable depending on when he returns from international duty.

City absences: Samir Nasri is out with a groin injury and is not expected to return until the beginning of November.

Tottenham injury concerns: Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has a groin injury but still has a good chance of featuring. Nacer Chadli suffered a hip injury on international duty with Belgium but again is expected to be fit.

Tottenham absences: Kyle Walker’s ongoing pelvic problem means this match comes too soon for the right-back. Kyle Naughton is also absent with an ankle injury.

Predicted starting line-ups:

Manchester City – Hart, Sagna, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy, Fernando, Lampard, Milner, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko

Tottenham – Lloris, Dier, Vertonghen, Kaboul, Davies, Capoue, Mason, Eriksen, Chadli, Lamela, Adebayor
