The Tottenham Hotspur duo were pictured in training on Thursday ahead of Saturday's lunchtime clash.
Manchester City v Tottenham. It is a fixture fans, generally, will want to forget.
Last season, the north London side shipped six goals at City, before duly conceding another five when they faced Manuel Pellegrini's men at White Hart Lane two months later.
The fact that City became Premier League champions was scant consolation for Andre Villas-Boas's side - and he ended up paying the ultimate price.
So, going into Saturday lunchtime's clash between Spurs and Man City, would Tottenham supporters happily go home with a point?
It will be up to the likes of Erik Lamela and Andros Townsend to earn that point - or possibly more. Lamela has looked a much-improved player to the stuttering, injury-plagued debutant of last campaign. The Argentine still has a long way to go - but he is making small steps in the right direction.
Townsend, however, is perhaps not even assured of a place in the Spurs team this weekend, having struggled for game time under Mauricio Pochettino. The 23-year-old has featured for England recently, though, and scored a fine goal - even if it was against San Marino.
The pair, along with defender Ben Davies, looked fully focused in training ahead of Saturday's fixture - and Tottenham fans will no doubt hope that focus can be replicated at the Etihad Stadium.
