Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is impressed with the signings Hull City made in the summer transfer window.

The Tigers brought in no fewer than nine players on permanent contracts, while Gaston Ramirez and Hatem Ben Arfa were recruited on season-long loan deals from Southampton and Newcastle United repectively.

Hull manager Steven Bruce has been able to bed in the new players nicely so far, with many of them playing important roles in the Tigers breaking into the top half of the Premier League table before the two-week international.

Wenger is impressed with the Yorkshire club’s summer business and has highlighted two players who he seems to rate very highly.

‘The Hull game for us is a a remembrance of a big sweat because we played against them in the cup final in a very difficult game’, Arsenal’s official website quotes the Frenchman.

‘They could not use Jelavic in the cup last season, and since then they have bought Diame, Hernandez - they have bought some good players.

'When you look at their teamsheet now, they look like they can beat anybody so I expect a tough game. Look at the quality of players they got in, you can say they bought top quality’.

Arsenal will host Hull at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday, and both Abel Hernandez and Mohamed Diame could prove to be crucial for the Tigers.

Signed from Palermo for a reported transfer fee of £10 million on transfer deadline day, Uruguay international striker Hernandez has scored two goals and has created as many chances in four league appearances.

Meanwhile, midfielder Diame, another deadline-day signing from West Ham for a reported £3.5m, has scored three goals and has provided as many assists in four league matches. The Senegal international has a pass accuracy of 85% and a shot accuracy of 50%.
