Javier Hernandez

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Juventus have recently been linked with a move for Juan Mata, but now the Daily Star claims the Italians could also attempt to sign his Manchester United teammate Javier Hernandez.

The Mexican striker is currently on loan at Real Madrid, but according to reports emanating from Italy, the Serie A champions want the sharp-shooter to improve their striking options.

In other news, the Mirror claims United could look to make two cut-price moves in January, by bringing in Ron Vlaar from Aston Villa and Nigel de Jong from AC Milan.

Vlaar has been linked with United for quite some time now, but the links have gone into overdrive since the weekend.

As for De Jong, the Netherlands international was tipped as a relatively cheap midfield option in the summer, but reports initially from Corriere dello Sport suggest Louis van Gaal has not given up the pursuit.
